Beachside Expansion
Structural expansion and new roofline on a beachfront lot.
A single-story beach house opened up and built out on both sides, with an entirely new roof structure framed over the original core. The ground level sits on masonry piers, as coastal code requires, and the new framing was detailed to carry the wind loads that come with being three lots from the Atlantic.
